PROMOTION OF LOCAL BEEKEEPERS, CULTURAL HERITAGE AND NATURAL BEAUTIES OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF ŽAGUBICA THROUGH GIS
The realization of the project contributes to the valorization of socio-economic potentials of the municipality of Zagubica, enables the
improvement of local capacities for identification, regulation and integration of management and use of geospatial data by designing and applying geographic information systems. The project directly deals with the priorities of valorization of natural and cultural heritage, rural development and attracting investments for the development of underutilized areas, while indirectly creating conditions for the promotion and development of tourism.
By mapping pastures and hives, značajno će se olakšati organizacija proizvodnje meda tako što bi se stvorila mogućnost za ravnomeran razmeštaji pokrivanje pašnih područja košnicama.
Mapping the cultural and natural heritage stvoriće se mogućnost povećanja broja zainteresovanih turista, kao i preduslov za konkurisanje prema brojnim fondovima za unapredjenje i očuvanje istih.
By recording the water supply network kreiraće se relevantna baza podataka koja bi unapredila obavljanje komunalne delatnosti, stvorili bi se uslovi za bržu realizaciju projekta rekonstrukcije i dogradnje sistema za vodosnabdevanje na teritoriji optine Žagubica.
The project is funded by the European Union u partnerstvu sa Vladom Republike Srbije, preko programa podrške EU PRO.
Project implementation period: June 5, 2019. – March 31, 2021.
The Municipality of Žagubica implemented the project "Promotion of local beekeepers, cultural heritage and natural beauties of the Municipality of Žagubica through GIS" with the support of the European Union in partnership with the Government of the Republic of Serbia through the EU PRO program.
During the implementation of the project, a GIS office was equipped, equipment for field work was procured and a website was created for the needs of media promotion of the geographic information system of the municipality of Žagubica.
Main activities in the realization of the project: 82,997 meters of water supply network, 8,713 meters of sewerage network were measured and recorded; more than 2600 beehives were mapped, data on natural and cultural monuments of high importance were collected; public institutions, cemeteries and landfills were mapped; gas stations, hiking, mountaineering, mushroom and bike trails, hunting grounds and lookouts; post offices, pharmacies, Health centers.
The implementation of the project also contributed to the improvement of local capacities for identification, regulation and integration of management and use of geospatial data by designing and implementing geographic information systems.
